Moritz von Oswald

A German musician and producer, Moritz von Oswald was half of the Basic Channel and Maurizio partnerships that built Berlin's most influential studio aesthetic. Drawing on dub's space and echo, he and Mark Ernestus pioneered a minimal, deeply textured form of techno. Their work turned the recording studio itself into the genre's instrument.
