How Do You Do It? (song)
'How Do You Do It?', written by Mitch Murray, became the 1963 debut single for Gerry and the Pacemakers and took them straight to number one in Britain. The bouncy, optimistic recording, produced by George Martin, was first offered to the Beatles, who declined to release their version. Its success made the Pacemakers the breakout act of Liverpool's second wave.
