Seo Taiji

Seo Taiji was the songwriter and producer at the center of Seo Taiji and Boys, the figure most credited with rewriting what Korean pop could sound like. A former bassist in a heavy-metal band, he absorbed Western dance and rap idioms and bent them to Korean, building the artistic blueprint a whole idol industry would later systematize.
