Big Road Blues

Tommy Johnson's 'Big Road Blues,' recorded in 1928, is one of the most widely copied performances in Delta blues, its rolling guitar figure learned and passed along by countless players. The song's loping groove and Johnson's soaring falsetto made it a regional standard. Decades later it gave its name to a foundational study of the Delta tradition.
